Save the Date TEDxIrvine November 17th

On November 17th from 6PM to 9PM the first annual TEDxIrvine event will take place at the hillside Spanish villa estate Rancho Las Lomas located in the heart of Santiago Canyon.

So what is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

And what is TED?

TED is a non-profit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world changing ideas with multiple initiatives.

The annual TED conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak fro 18 minutes.  Their talks are then made available and free at TED.com.  TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nanden Nilekani, Philippe Stark, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabelle Alende and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

What will happen at TEDxIrvine?

The theme of  TEDxIrvine is “Change Agents”.

We have carefully selected eight amazing speakers who are experts in their field.  In 18 minutes or less each of them will share their ideas on technology, nutrition, art, philanthropy, design, photography and sports.

Our event is limited to 100 people who will be valet parked and shuttled up to the estate where you will be entertained, informed, enlightened and fed a great dinner in an amazing setting.
